#1: runnerrunner is a very unknown band - they're 'rock/pop/electro', and they don't sound half bad (; they're from the US, from hullington beach, specifically, i'm not exactly sure where that is. california?
#2: onerepublic also covered duffy's mercy and the video is also somewhere out there on youtube, and i'm too lazy to link it for you. and personally, they sung her mercy better, and they're mercy is better.
#3: jada pinkette smith, in alicia key's superwoman video, is will smith's wife.
#4: warwick avenue is a soothing song, but the video is just boring. it just shows her in the car, crying and singing. nothing much else besides you seeing her face. so you can go watch it, but don't bother looking intently at the screen, just listen to the song.

say (all i need) by onerepublic! awesome band. this is a great song with evident touches of star producer timbaland. it's written about all the people who move to LA in rush to try and get overnight success and make it big in the music industry. it was shot while they were on their europe, so obviously it was filmed in europe. ha.

sadly we didnt win the banner comp or anything else, and i dont see us winning the class exemplary award - not that we ever won it before, but let's just be good kids and not get blacklisted any more than we already are (: this is the final year we'll all be in the same class yaw.

hello all.

sports heats today.
400m - yours truly - third position
4 X 100m relay - treeza, weisze, lydia, vaish - third position too :D
4 X 400m relay - yijia, divya, yiting, weisze (replacing vaish) - sixth. out of six.

but thats okay, we're good for the rest (((((: and it's not anybody's fault. yijia was probably already tired from her NPCC duty of standing and holding up some sign at the field in the sun. and weisze already was tired from the sprint in the 100m relay. so yup.

OH NEVER HAVE A HEAVY LUNCH BEFORE HEATS. you'll vomit. i shant go into details. eat something light. like. waffles from the bubble tea shop. or the glutinous rice from that snacks stall.

wear comfortable sch shoes if you dont have sports shoes. this is to prevent foot pain when you walk back to the bus stop.

oh and can everybody please do their class duties to make the class clean and orange? that would be great :D and behave yourselves, we are kinda blacklisted and either disliked or just okay-okay with our teachers. we must be good students - not teachers' pets but nice teachable tkgians :D

anw, i hope everyone did their elearning assignments okay and submitted them on time. for chinese, it was only assignments V and VI btw, the MCQ compres. for history, we didnt have to upload anything. the quiz was to be submitted online. sheesh man, so much for all the briefings yest.

hope nobody made a big mistake regarding the sumbission of assignments (:

the next elearning day is 24th october, wednesday. so both tuesday 23rd october (promotion day) and 24th are holidays (: and on 22nd october monday we're released early, at 1. but on friday we have to clean our classrooms so we'll be released late. yep.

just got back english and science results. i got 69.3 for english (decimal places will be the death of me) and 71.5 for science. congrats to peihua for being the highest in class for english with 75% (who also kept saying she would fail, which annoyingly was kind of the other way round) and cheryl and angelyn for being the highest for science with 80%.

all the best for geog, mt then hist on tuesday and lit then math on wednesday. yes.

HELLO, i'm on hiatus and not posting on my own blog, but i decided to post smth here to keep it alive before the exams are over and this blog dies D:

well, let's see. everything is over except hist (mon), math (tue) and MT paper 2 (wednesday). plus CSP for some of you, on friday. but for those who dont take CSP we get to have a long holiday. remember, marking day is next monday and tuesday, the week after the last exams. 8th and 9th october, if i'm not wrong, are the dates. YAY.

i found most okay. but the least okay was science. that one ive lost 4 marks, for sure. but well, they should be okay i guess :/ all the best to everybody!

my dear 1e3,
how are you? i know that i have been mean to you by not emailing you guys for a long time. actually, my first email to you guys bounced even though i got the email right so i got mad at the computer. hehe.

i'm sure you guys wanna know about my friends. they rock and we get along pretty well though i sometimes get annoyed at the teachers who simply find it so difficult to pronounce/spell my name.

my school is an international one and is way more relaxed than singapore's. the teachers are more relaxed [there'sthatwordagain.] and they are also very casual. my lessons are pretty ok though i miss the spontaniety 1e3 has. D:

the library's here is beyootiful. it's double storeyed and has more computers :D

i'm settling down well. adapting. i like shopping here because i can bike from my house to the nearest shop. yeay!

carnival day today :D
OUR CLASS WON THE BEST DRESSED CLASS AWARD, thats diff from the BEST DRESSED AWARD, mind you. we got the award for the most number of dressed ppl. yupyup. i wore red and white. most wore red and white, though some wore qipaos, saris, kebayas, etc.

our stall has raked in abt 57+ from the handicrafts (alphabets on the ice cream stick) and tongue twisters and stuffs. yup. good job everybody. today was a joyous day, no studying, no homework, just being happy. HAHAH. okay anw, hope everyone has a good long weekend and all the best to everybody for the story telling CAs and other stuff. yup. like the history blog project. and results to come :/

welcome to your local 1e3 news and here are the headlines:
-it's CA week and the lit CA today has just finished, with the geog CA coming up tmr.
-NAPFA five test items are ijust around the corner
-our Cdiv softball team has emerged as the champs this year

it's the CA week and the lit CA today, was abt writing a diary entry from calvin's perspective. marks are awarded for an accurate description of calvin and the murray children. some, like beth, found it managable. "it went quite well, i just failed to mention charle wallace's probing mind. thing. yeah. AND I USED SONG LYRICS :DDD pressing on by relient k and home by chris daughtry! i'm going home, to the place where i belong..."

one discussed topic was the need to include "dear diary" at the top, because it was a diary entry after all. tmr is the geog CA, in which climographs, rivers, weathering and erosion will be tested. weathering is the breakdown of rocks in situ by heat, rain, frost and plants/animals/human activity. erosion is the wearing down of rocks and removal and transportation of sediments by waves, rivers, glaciers and wind.

the five NAPFA test items tmr seem to be a daunting event for some 1e3ers. "tmr is the five test items right? sh**!" went pei hua and other anxious students. a minimum of C for each item is needed to obtain a gold. no sports shoes will be allowed tmr, and all students have to report at 2.05 to divya, the sports captain.

our Cdiv softball team has emerged victorious after a month of games. they won nayang girls' yesterday with a score of 4-0. krystal, one of the Cdiv players says, "it was the bestest greatest game we've ever played. good job everyone."

in other news, 1e3 is making crafts for carnival day, 8 august, which is also ASEAN day, one day before national day. aft our dunking stall proposal was turned down, and mdm lenny said everything would be too loud for a music request stall, 1e3's has decided on craftmaking of a few different items, such as magnets and clips.

also, CA week continues till next week, with math on monday and science on tuesday. study hard and goodbye (:

HELLO FELLOW PEOPLES.

well, just an update for those who forgot or happen to have gone to far far away land, e.g. denmark:

quite a lot of projects, homework, CAs right now. some results we've gotten back but more CAs have yet to come. like on monday there's the normal chinese CA and i cant study that much cos i forgot to bring my stuff home.

on friday the first half of the class ran our 2.4 NAPFA run. okay. the only person who got A is. me. yeah. 13min 46s. i am not trying to boast. okay. well. everybody passed :D yeah. uh. for all those who have yet to run, JUST DONT STOP. resist temptation. just keep working those legs. yup.

we didnt win drama of history. the compettition. but i'm sure all the drama ppl did well :D and the softball Cdiv is doing fine. i think. theyve won quite a few matches already. playing cresent on tuesday. the netballers didnt do too well, according to laura eva, at the pesta sukan thing, but they won a friendly (: against temasek, if i'm not wrong. so congrats on that.

hehe... i guess i'm loooong overdue for a post, huh? y'see, this blog is gradually

and i thot if i posted something, ppl will view it. so here i am (:

denmark's real nice and it's currently summer here. i've just moved from Frederiksberg to Island Brygge, where my new house is. We moved because we were living on the 4th floor of the apartment and there was no lift. If school starts, there won't be anyone to help my mum carry the groceries up. Moreover my mum has Nafisa to take care of.

Anyway, i'll be schling at COPENHAGEN INTERNATIONAL SCH which is ranked [globally] as the 4th best international school. It's summer vacation here so i wont start sch till aug 16. haha :D

hmm, we went to see the statue of the little mermaid last month and it's pretty small. uhhhh. don't always believe what brochures say XDD near my house, there's something called a harbour bath which is kind of like a swimming pool but there's a diving pool 4.2m to 7m deep and a lap pool. the rest of the pools are the usual.[for babies, teens and kids] i went to the harbour bath today and yesterday and the water was absolutely FREEZING. lol. i was shivering. there was algae and stuff in the water cos it's seawater and well, the algae was just there. [the algae feels so slimy!]

there's an amusement park somewhat near my house called TIVOLI. i haven't been there yet but my dad says if i study real hard, he'll bring us there [my siblings and i]. btw, i went to the cinema to watch TRANSFORMERS and the cinema is waaaaay bigger than ur average ones in s'pore. the movies here also are 'later' than s'pore. e.g.: they just started showing the messengers and they are still showig spidey 3

oh and the currency here is KRONER[dollars] and ORE[cents]. things are really expensive here like one egg can cost S$1.

ooh and i love the DANISH [there's no such thing as denmarkian] pastry :))

for those who didnt go: SAD MAN, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE. :D there was so much food we couldnt finish. and almost everybody played truth or dare, and paige got one dare that was to go to mdm lenny's husband and say "hi im paige, nice to meet you" :D haha. everything was very fun. the food was nice. saher brought two chocolate cakes that she'd made. and victoria brought her speakers so we could play some music :D at the end of it, some ppl went cycling and i think some played soccer. (: most of the time was spent camwhoring and playing truth or dare and listening to music and eating and fretting over the mud that we got on our shoes/slippers/feet :D

YO. today was the day of the scrabble comp. well, i lost the first two games, won the last :D overall, i guess everybody did okay. but we're not going to the grand finals. well, at least we managed to EXPERIENCE IT. there was even ice cream aft we finished. haha. my team played yishun town, anderson and then chua choa kang sec. the yishun town ppl were the friendliest, i guess. (: esp this guy called melvin ng. hahaha. but the guy who was playing against me was this nerd who kept putting nonsensical two letter words which DID exist (good thing i didnt challenge..) and making dumb words. he got the good letters. :( aft that frm anderson, we played a bunch of girls (the other team got a bunch of irritating boys.. hehe) who were quite serious. then the chua choa kang ppl were okay. most of us beat them. nobody beat the yishun town ppl. one or two beat the anderson ppl. hahha. HELLO. hahah its not so picturesque, the sight of a foot with a cast on this blog but thats my foot with a cast.. the doctor said so far its just a sprain but there might be a hair-line fracture but they just treated it as a fracture anw. its better now and doesnt hurt as much, but im still walking around with crutches which is pretty mah fan. i cant get it wet so when i bathe i have to put a plastic bag over it. come to think of it, i shld have used this sprained ankle for the 2-minute talk, except id have to sit down.. co standing up for 2 straight minutes is too much work. hahah. i will be back on tuesday! (: haha, im the vice-sports captain and i already have an injury before doing any sports and i shld be helping the vice captain with the class tee and banner but im not even going to be at the buddy session.. hahaha. (: and i heard saher was also injured by the swing! get well soon and um i think the swing is taking revenge on us! cos last year's sec ones broke the swing and now theyre taking revenge... *some body guards come and fit a straightjacket on*

haha, yesterday we had to act out our skits. my grp wasnt prepared (obviously). i think saher's grp or stef's grp might win.. but i dont know of course.. results of the skits and english CAs will be revealed at our next english lesson (which is on tuesday).

there were the softball trials and drama auds and basketball SSTs yest.. all arnd the same time as the buddy session. so quite a lot of ppl bailed the buddy session. i was at the softball trials yest. i did ok lah.. i suppose (can we blog singlish? it is only normal).. lydia will definitely be accepted. convo with peihua, i asked her abt the buddy session:

beth here again. (: uh, ok, yes! i remember. classroom decorations. these are the areas we have to decorate:
{door with mailbox, must also put in a piece of paper with the class motto on it}
{the board at the back}
{the teacher's table}
{the other 2 boards?}
{anything else? i think not, right?}

so, whoever wants to decorate whichever part, pls tag it on the tagboard, to the left to left to the left! hahaha. everything u own is in the box to the left, in the closet dats my stuff yes if i bought it pls dont touch... hahaha! irreplaceable by beyonce. lol ok anw back to the topic of class decor. the most no. of ppl needed will be at the board at the back.. say 8 ppl? maybe 3 ppl for the door, 5 ppl for the teacher's table. everyone else can do decor for like the walls. its for CNY, btw. like u can take the red pieces of paper and loop them ... like take one piece of paper and staple it such that its a circle then u just loop everything frm there... and i volunteer to decorate the door.

now, as secretary, i have to talk abt the class fund. this is for the class reps and mdm lenny: where do i keep the funds? do i keep it in a container of my own or am i supposed to be given a tin or smth? i dont suppose i keep the money in my wallet right? so um, where do i keep the money?

now, for everybody else: pls bring money for ur music files, abt 1.30, right? pls donate at least 1 buck every week (or any spare change u wanna get rid of) to the class fund. if everyone does so, we will be rich. haha, money money money money money... MONEY! haha, the apprentice song! lol. its actually a song called the love of money by the o'jays, 2 old ppl. once bo bice sung this song on american idol.

speaking of american idol, it shows early at 6pm on starworld, channel 18. so u dont have to wait til 8 on chanel 5. :) unless of course u dont have starworld. but if u have digital cable, go to mosaic mode and watch it frm there. the box will be very small of course.

for now i will just bring a container and keep it inside the cupboard with all the files.. lol. also, for the decor, try to not use things that will cost us money. the budget is only 20 bucks.

homework, is maths. due on monday. there is a zuo wen test tmr for all those taking normal chinese, dunno abt those taking higher chinese.

well, as i mentioned, there is always smth wrong when we try to change the skin to a better one. ive found nicer skins already but when i try to change them theres some problem with the code, abt the "body" not being closed and stuff... so well we might have to create a new acct or create it in somebody's old blogger acct, cos i think there might be smth wrong the the new google acct for blogspot blogs. (there are 2 kinds now: the old blogger blogspot blog, and the new google blogspot blog, the settings and everything are very different.. for my personal blog i use the old blogger.) but well, for now, i just put the tagboard there.. maybe we could work smth out later. we'll do it asap for the benefit of everybody, kay? (:

well, here are some things remember: there is an english CA on 17 jan, my bday. (: at the same time its also a :( but nvm. besides me, benjamin franklin, al capone, some pope, jim carey and kid rock are born on 17 jan. (: also, tmr, 16th jan, there will be the 2nd round of netball SSTs for selected ppl (check the netball cca board, near the canteen). on 19th jan there will be a COMPO TEST for all those taking NORMAL CHINESE. uh, other than that im not sure wat else there is.

CCA Promotion Day

Today was the CCA promotion day cum Meet the parents' session.

There were like, a lot of booths to look at. But before the Sec ones' actual tour of the booths, there was a long, long, long talk abt the 16 habits of mind, pastoral care stuff, the school rules, etc, etc. You were there, so i won't have to elaborate on the talks, ya?

I think dat de only person who was absent was Saher, which was weird because she seemed so geared up abt CCA day.

Anyways, after de "interesting" talk, we went to tour de booths. *yay* we got to meet buddy(sarah) and jaslyn again.^V^ unfortunately, ayeshah wasnt dere cos she was helping out at the NPCC booth. the beef sandwich wasnt very nice... :<

the red cross performance wasnt quite all that and jaslyn kept laughing! loudly, some more. i was like," Eh, don't laugh!" but i was giggling too. *oops!*

well that's about it.
